 John S. Richardson |
John Richardson has been employed by the Company in various capacities since 1985. He was named to his current position of President and Chief Operating Officer in 2008, after serving as Executive Vice President and COO for two years. John served as Vice President - Acquisitions & Engineering from 1997 to 2006. Prior to joining Energen Resources, he worked with Shell Oil, Inc. and AmSouth Bank, N.A. His professional affiliations are: Society of Petroleum Engineers, Capstone Engineering Society, Independent Petroleum Association of America, Director of Petroleum Technology Transfer Council, Eastern Gulf Region, Coalbed Methane Association of Alabama and Alabama College of Engineering Leadership Board. John is a graduate of the University of Alabama. In 2009, John was honored as a Distinguished Engineering Fellow of the University of Alabama College of Engineering.
