He has been employed with the company since 1986 and held numerous senior-level positions with the Company. Prior to joining Energen, he worked with Price Waterhouse Coopers.
McManus is active in a number of professional organizations. He is a member of the National Petroleum Council (NPC); member of the board and past executive committee member of the American Exploration Production Council (AXPC); director of the Gas Technology Institute (GTI); director of the American Gas Association (AGA); director of the American Natural Gas Alliance (ANGA); director of the U.S. Oil and Gas Association; and past director of the Independent Producers Association of America (IPAA).
In the community, McManus serves on the boards of the Business Council of Alabama (BCA), Economic Development Partnership of Alabama (EDPA), and Alabama Council – Boy Scouts of America. He is president of the Public Affairs Research Council of Alabama (PARCA) and chair of the executive committee. He is a member of The University of Alabama President’s Cabinet and the Board of Visitors of The University of Alabama Business Schools. McManus also is a member of the Investment Committee of the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham.
A Certified Public Accountant, McManus earned a B.S. in Accounting at The University of Alabama. |
