Oil and natural gas supply more than 60 percent of the United States’ energy.

Natural gas – the cleanest-burning fossil fuel – is best known for keeping us warm and cooking our food. Natural gas also powers our industries, generates electricity and increasingly fuels buses, fleet vehicles, and other forms of transportation.

Oil is best known for running our cars. It also is a key ingredient in many products we use every day – from the carpet we walk on to the tires on our cars and bikes to the plastic products so integral to our lives.

At Energen Corporation, we explore for, develop and produce all domestic, all onshore supplies of natural gas, oil and natural gas liquids. We also deliver energy efficient natural gas to homes, businesses and industries in central and parts of north Alabama.
